Using the Whisper Dock During Live Calls

Using the Whisper Dock During Live Calls

The Whisper dock is the black island that appears at the top center of your screen while Whisper is recording. It keeps the timer, stop control, and the most important coaching cards in sight when the main Spiky window is behind Zoom, Meet, or Teams.

Collapsed vs expanded

Collapsed — A compact top pill with the live indicator, recording timer, open-app control, and stop (stop asks for a second click to confirm).

Expanded — The island grows downward into coaching cards. Hover over the dock briefly, or click it, to expand. Move the pointer away and it collapses again after a short delay.

What appears on the dock

The dock shows a short stack of in-call cards (newest open; older ones as titles you can expand):

Card

What you get

Guidance

Agenda nudges such as Go Deeper / Move Next, with suggested questions

Battlecard

Recommended / Alternative talk tracks (full Knowledge detail stays in Whisper)

Ask Scribe

Answers to questions you ask from the dock input

Template nudge

Reminder to pick a meeting template, with an inline picker

Recap cards stay in the main Whisper Live stream — they are not pushed to the dock.

Using a card

  • Click the chevron + title on the left to expand or collapse that card.

  • Open in Whisper (top right) brings the main Spiky window forward for the full Live stream, checklists, and research.

  • × dismisses that card from the dock stack.

Battlecards with Recommended / Alternative tracks show tabs under the script. Template nudge cards include a searchable picker and Use.

Ask Scribe from the dock

When the dock is expanded you can ask a question from the Ask Scribe field (including quick shortcuts such as Recap or Pain points). The answer lands as an Ask Scribe card on the dock and also in the Live stream.

Settings

In Settings, use Show Whisper dock to turn the dock on or off. It is on by default. Demo mode can still show the dock so you can try it during Try Demo.

Tips

  • Keep the dock enabled for video calls so coaching stays visible while you share or focus the meeting window.

  • Use Open in Whisper when you need the full Live history, Topic Progress, or research pills.

  • Stopping from the dock requires a confirm click so you do not end the recording by accident.
