Scorecards
Overview
Scorecards in Spiky allow managers and administrators to create structured evaluation templates that can be applied to individual meetings. By defining a set of custom questions, scorecards enable consistent, objective performance assessments of team members across meetings — helping you standardize feedback and track quality over time.
Key Concepts
Scorecard Template — A reusable set of questions created by an admin or user. Templates are defined once under Settings and can be applied to any meeting.
Scorecard (on a meeting) — The instance of a template applied to a specific meeting, where evaluators can fill in responses and rate performance based on the template's questions.
Part 1: Creating a Scorecard Template
Everyone can create scorecard templates.
How to create a template
Navigate to Settings in the top navigation bar.
In the left sidebar, expand the Templates section and click Scorecards.
On the Scorecard Templates page, click the Create button in the top-right corner.
Define your template by providing:
A template name (e.g., "Sales Discovery Scorecard", "Customer Support Scorecard")
One or more questions that evaluators will answer when reviewing a meeting (up to a maximum of 15 questions per template)
Save the template.
Once saved, the template will appear in the Scorecard Templates list, displaying the template name, the number of questions it contains, and the name of the team member who created it.
Managing existing templates
From the Scorecard Templates list, you can use the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of any template row to access management options such as editing or deleting the template.
You can also use the search bar at the top of the list to quickly locate a specific template by name.
Part 2: Applying a Scorecard to a Meeting
Once a scorecard template has been created, it can be applied to any individual meeting for evaluation.
How to apply a scorecard
Open the relevant meeting from the Meetings section.
In the left-hand sidebar of the meeting detail view, click Scorecards.
Select the scorecard template you wish to apply to this meeting.
Fill in the responses to each question in the template.
Submit the scorecard.
Best Practices
Keep templates focused. Each scorecard template supports a maximum of 15 questions. Scorecards with a targeted set of questions (e.g., 5–10) are easier to complete consistently and yield more actionable data than lengthy ones.
Align questions to your methodology. If your team follows a specific sales framework (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN), structure your scorecard questions around its key criteria.
Create role-specific templates. Consider building separate templates for different meeting types or roles — for example, one for discovery calls and another for demos or manager reviews.
Review regularly. Periodically revisit and update your templates as your team's processes and evaluation criteria evolve.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can create scorecard templates?
All users can create scorecard templates. However, only admins can apply scorecards to meetings. Regular users can view the scorecards that have been completed about them, but cannot apply or fill in scorecards themselves.
Can I apply more than one scorecard to a single meeting?
Yes, multiple scorecard templates can be applied to a single meeting if needed.
Can I edit a template after it has been used?
Templates can be edited via the three-dot menu on the Scorecard Templates page. Note that any changes to a template will affect future uses of that template. Previously submitted scorecards will retain the questions as they were at the time of submission.
